intaglio print
I knew I'd be extremely disappointed if I had left ArtCenter without taking a printing making class taught by a master printer, Tony Zepeda. Our first project was an intaglio print, which can be done a variety of different ways, but always involves etching a plate with acid.

A couple years ago I had taken a picture of a friend flipping through a box of 45s at a record swap meet. I was excited to finally use it for a project.
I wanted the final image to be...ummmm...looser (?) so I drew lightly onto the plate after the dried liquid ground had been applied. Then I started drawing and scratching into the plate.

@ericdvaldez I shall call this "45 Diggin' at Beat Swap Meet." Also, I know I'm a few days late on this, but since this was an #intaglio print -- #inktober, sucka!
